The company is experiencing rapid growth and looking to expand its team to help lead it through this next phase of expansion.
Job Summary:
The Controller will be responsible for:
- Oversight of accounting, reporting, forecasting, bank relationships, and risk management functions for the company
- Compilation of the monthly board reporting package in tandem with the CEO
- Analytics to drive business performance
- Strategic system implementation over the coming months

Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounting operations of the company
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, polices, and procedures
- Work diligently to mentor, train and develop subordinates
- Prepare and review month-end account reconciliations
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end financial reporting
- Manage business license renewals, state registrations, and tax returns for property, sales, other taxes
- Assist with extracting, analyzing, interpreting and reporting financial data for financial and operational performances, including performance against budgets and key performance indicators
- Prepare and update budgets/projections and forecasts
- Oversee group insurance coverage and prepare insurance renewals
- Prepare and complete ad hoc projects for the Executive Team as needed
- Interact and lead the company relationships with bank lender
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Highly motivated and results-oriented
- 7+ years’ experience in corporate accounting; 3+ years in a management capacity with supervisory responsibilities required
- Landscaping industry experience (preferred)
- CPA designation (preferred)
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel computer skills
- Must possess a proficient understanding of US GAAP
- Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively and professionally
